In the wave of LED displays upgrading towards fine-pitch and high image quality, MIP (Mini/Micro LED in Package) technology, with its unique advantages, has become a core driver for industry breakthroughs. It is rapidly moving from a technological focus to large-scale implementation, reshaping the new ecology of the display industry.
At present, MIP has entered the first year of development, with remarkable results from the collaborative efforts of the entire industrial chain. Leading enterprises have successively laid out production capacity and upgraded products, achieving breakthroughs in full pitch coverage from P0.6 to P2.0, continuously improving mass production yield and steadily reducing costs, successfully removing the label of "high-price and niche". With the advantages of high display consistency, strong compatibility and simplified production processes, it has been applied in commercial large screens, smart education, XR virtual shooting and other scenarios, becoming a key bridge connecting the industrialization of Mini/Micro LED.
Looking ahead, MIP has broad growth prospects. With the continuous expansion of production capacity and continuous technological optimization, the cost will further decrease, and the application scenarios will extend to home theaters, in-vehicle displays, AR/VR and other fields. It is estimated that by 2028, the penetration rate of MIP in China's MLED direct-view market will soar to 35%. With the innovative feature of "package as module", it will continue to break the industrial ecological barriers and lead the LED display industry into a new stage of clearer, more efficient and more dynamic development.
