3.4 Image Control and Processing Equipment: The "Brain" of the Spherical Screen

 

This set of equipment acts as the screen’s "brain", converting input video signals into formats adapted for spherical display and distributing signals to each LED unit.

Equipped with a distributed control system, the entire spherical screen is divided into multiple zones with independent control units, improving system reliability and reducing signal latency. Integrated with low-latency video processing and transmission technology, it supports real-time playback and seamless switching of 16K ultra-high-definition videos.

 

Advanced viewing angle compensation and color correction technologies are also deployed. The system automatically adjusts brightness, color and grayscale of lamp beads in different areas of the sphere, eliminating visual deviation and picture fragmentation caused by curved splicing, so the image remains uniform and clear from all viewing angles.

 

3.5 Auxiliary Facilities: The "Circulatory System" of the Spherical Screen

 

These facilities guarantee stable operation, mainly including power supply system, environmental control system and dedicated cables.

 

3.5.1 Power Supply System

 

With a total power of several thousand kilowatts, the screen demands an extremely stable power supply. A dual-circuit power supply plus UPS uninterruptible power system is adopted to enable seamless switchover in case of single-circuit failure and avoid blackouts. Power is delivered in a distributed manner via multiple branches, each equipped with independent overload and short-circuit protection for enhanced safety.

 

3.5.2 Environmental Control System

 

LED panels generate substantial heat during operation, which would damage performance and service life without effective heat dissipation. The intelligent environmental control system monitors temperature, humidity and air quality in real time, and automatically regulates air conditioners and ventilation fans.

  • The external screen uses combined natural ventilation and forced air cooling.
  • The internal screen is equipped with a central air conditioning system to maintain an optimal working temperature.

The system also features dehumidification, dust prevention and salt fog resistance to adapt to complex environments.

 

3.5.3 Dedicated Cables

 

High flame-retardant, low-smoke and halogen-free cables are used for power and signal transmission, preventing toxic gas emission in case of fire. All cables are laid in a concealed layout for aesthetics and protection, and marked with serial numbers for convenient later maintenance.

The interior layout is elaborately designed to deliver an ultimate immersive experience. Multi-layered auditoriums are built inside the sphere with professional sightline optimization, ensuring every audience member has an excellent viewing angle.
